An altime­ter is an instru­ment used to mea­sure the alti­tude of an object above a fixed level. Mobile Altime­ter uti­lize GPS to get altutide.

    Hi There,

    I installed the .apk on my phone and it ran, but just stayed on the “wait…” screen, with the gps icon flash­ing. It never gave an alti­tude reading.

    bakhtiyor,

    you are entirely cor­rect — I had placed the G1 near a win­dow where I thought it had received a GPS sig­nal. When I took it out­side, it worked perfectly.
