30 Days of Android Apps

Jun 1, 2009

I decided to countinue Chris Craft and AppsAmuck marathon — starting series of 30 Days of Android Applications publications.

I plan on writing one application per day: interesting, useful, and mostly complete.

Although there are a lot Android projects with available sources, I hope it will be useful resource to start up developing mobile applications.

    Great idea.

Can we have an app which clarifies the use of themes and styles? The API Demos having so many things makes it a bit confusing to keep track of which class does what.

    Thanks for the tuts

I enjoyed your first apps, so where are 23 through 30? If nothing else you could have done the same ones that the iPhone guy did, it would have made a cool Rosetta stone type comparison.

hey amazing stuff loved the compass and the tic tac toe , a useful app would be a calculator with a comma separator and a history with a copy and paste function , another cool feature would be an expense tracker for people on the go

i loved the palm application , gestures however the cursor needs to be right aligned and you could add the back space feature ( jot2 stylus writing dot back slash ) and the shift motion to go into number mode

would prefer writing with a stylus and copy and paste to my sticky pad as a quick reminder or note taking at a seminar

another cool app would be the ability to assign a static IP / dns to my WiFi have a couple of locations i use wifi and more or less have a similar ip range same gateway x.x..10.1 as a result of the hot spot being in the ceiling and the hub indoors , the solution would be replacing all the indoor hubs with wireless routers and running DHCP
